Hens gone wild.

Some random pictures from a hen party in Edinburgh, Scotland on a Saturday night... Those girls are ca-ca-ca-crazy.

They were dressed up with a Kill Bill theme.

Midas.

For class, I did a story on Valentin Ratchev, 39- the "Gold Man" at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. He's a human statue that moves when the money is dropped- Valentin's been doing it for about 10 years.

I had a blast taking the pictures. Who knew my favorite new acquaintance in Scotland would be a statue.

this isn't the final edit.

Here comes the sun.

And I said, it's alright.

I've been finding rainbows all around me... and my heart is bursting into thousands of colorful pieces.

a polish ghost.

There was a ghostly man playing a ghostly sound.

The ghost is from poland.

The ghost is shy and hates crowds.... so the ghost sits on steps alone with no one listening.

Fringe.. day 2

Fringe Festival day 2. There are so many characters packed into such little space.

Soprano Sisters

The Fringe Festival just began... I found some lovely soprano singers in lovely outfits.

They made my day.

A Holy Island. and good timing.

"We do not receive wisdom, we must discover it for ourselves, after a journey through the wilderness which no one else can make for us, which no one can spare us, for our wisdom is the point of view from which we come at last to regard the world." - Marcel Proust (found in "Buddhism Without Beliefs")

I randomly ended up on an island off the west coast of Scotland called Holy Island- part Tibetan Buddhist Monastery, part nature reserve.. I had other plans but scrapped them at the last minute after all signs pointed me toward the island. I spent two days meditating, doing yoga, and running around with mountain goats and ponies... It was so healing, and it couldn't have come at a better time. I think my heart breathed a big sigh of relief... ah.
